Inspiration

Rational slice grew out of manual tier math: scribbling diameters and prices, recomputing marginal dollars per square inch on a napkin, or lining up shipping quotes and asking whether the next speed tier was worth it. Spreadsheets helped, but each comparison was a one-off template—easy to mis-order rows, forget a step-up, or mix units.

This app tries to put that same discrete, step-by-step thinking in one place: a small calculator that treats each menu row as a tier, keeps Δ value / Δ price honest between neighbors, and surfaces the same “first / second derivative” readout every time. It is not a claim about what you should pay—only a structured way to look at graded size × price (or time × price) lists you already care about.
